Gentlemen,
Third Annual Vernon BC Aerotow June 22-24.
There is on-field camping available (no hook-ups or power), a permanent porta-potti, an 800' grass runway, and (see Google maps or Google Earth), wide open at both ends of the runway....exceptionally so for inbound to the strip. Coordinates for those who wish to take a peek are: 50°23'53.0"N 119°18'56.6"W.
Good accommodations in Armstrong BC, about 15 minutes away. There is room for RV parking at the field.
The famous tug pilot extraordinaire, Ivan Somvi has confirmed his attendance, and we will have the well-mannered Pilfered Pegasus for additional towing duties. Lots of horsepower for all sizes of sailplanes. Obviously, any other tug pilots would be welcomed with open arms!
We owe this opportunity to Lester's Hobby Shop in Vernon and to the St. Anne's RC Air Force, who have graciously allowed us sailplane perverts to mingle with them.
Put it on your calendar! All are welcome and we will be happy to give stick time to any flyers that want to give aerotowing a try!
