  • Bigger Truck - Bigger Trailer!

So if I trade up to this new Silverado...🙄

Chevrolet will sell its biggest Silverado ever when it launches a new line of trucks in the medium-duty truck segment next year.

That's a nice truck. With that, you can pull a toy hauler/ camper (I'm thinking Fifth wheel) and save money on hotel bills, restaurants and never miss out of what happens at night at the flying meets.

          Jim,

Can you get it with a long bed? You do not want an extended cab. Plus, can you get a a cap for it?

Class 4 and 5 trucks have very low axle ratios meant for hauling heavy equipment such as bulldozers and backhoes. That translates into high fuel costs, which means you will need to invest in an oil well. Class 3 duallies aren’t much better economy-wise. A class 2 (3/4 ton) like Len’s is a better deal, fuel-wise, and still can haul a 10,000 lb trailer with ease. Even my class 1 (1/2 ton) is rated for a 7,000 lb trailer, which is way more than the weight of the 12-foot x 6 foot ATC trailer (1,200 lbs.) I have on order. But I have to admit, that Chevy looks baaad!
