LOOKING FOR A GOOD HOME... Thayer Syme's beautiful SG-38 that is 100% hand crafted and one of the nicest RC models of the 38 out there. Thayer used the best materials -- insane 20/30 rings/inch aircraft spruce, turned his own brass pulleys, etc. A lot of love and care went into this glider!
It's simply a matter of his not making any events for the last several years, so he wants it to have a good home. I'm putting this out there as a friend and I am willing to deliver it to Cumberland, Windy Ridge, Muncy and the balance of 2022 aerotow events.
Here are the specs:
SG-38, 1:4 scale
First flown in 2010
First Place Sport Scale, 2010 WRAM Show
Span: 105 inches
Length: 65 inches
Weight: 11.5 pounds
Wing Area: 1530 square inches
Wing Loading: 17.3 oz/sq ft
Wing Cube Loading: 5.3
Flown in: Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Massachusetts, and New York
Link to a full webpage and a set of videos on the plane: http://www.gryffinaero.com/models/ff...g38/index.html
Thayer is not certain of the value, so I'm putting this out there to see if there is interest and then make some connections.
Let me know.
Thanks!
Steve
