Here's my build on Chris Williams 1/4 Scale 1954 Scheibe Bergfalke Mü 13 E plans. Wonderful vintage retro sailplane.

Jump into the hot tub time machine and lets set the date for sometime in 2012. I helped contribute to the CAD drafting and converting the hand drawn plans for laser cutting. Gearing up from my normal RC routine of custom EPO 2m sailplanes, uber detailed scale Porsche slot cars and RC Porsche cars, I was in need of a big work bench. So, built two all new work benches for 1/4 scale sailplane builds (since the below build photos were shot, I've upgraded the lighting). I started my build on October, 2013, hopefully I can get this done this winter, spring of 2016.

Adding in 1/4" x 1/4" balsa cross-supports



The original plans use Graupner 14mm wing joiner blade. The laser kit is converted to a solid bar with brass retainer tube.

Glue used is Gorilla WOOD glue for 1/32" ply to fuselage formers and Sitka Spruce.

After reviewing many photos of the real Bergfalke, I wanted to adjust the shape of the nose profile ever so slightly.

Wow! This is really nice! I haven't built a model in an 'up-in-the-air' jig before. It sure keeps everything straight. With all those sticks and beveled cuts I 'understand'! lol

Looks great Thompson! It makes me want to break out my 1/3 scale Bayer CNC Minimoa kit and scratch my head over the German instructions....like I have been doing for 15 years LOL

I'm determined to get this finished THIS year, hopefully maiden at SeptemberSoar. I have three other kits to finish also (1/4 scale L-Spatz 55 [redesign of orig German plan] and some hydroplanes). I need to put my brain into a Chris Williams level build mode and crank these out. I'll be posting more photos today.
