Well let's see if the dead website is alive.
First flights today for my Swift. Light winds so time to give it a toss in the back yard.
It flies slow enough and should be good for some indoor flying next week.
My brother upgraded to a Prusa Mk4, so now I have the old mk3. I picked up the Planeprint Swift S1. It is a combination of 3d printing and some depron. It is a little over 200g with a 2s300 battery and a goosky s2 tail rotor motor and prop for power. It has some cheap sub 4g servos and a combo 6ch RX, esc for the radio.
Most of the 3d printing is lw pla and it's printed in vase mode. I got some cheap sainsmart lwpla on black Friday. Interesting and sometimes frustrating stuff to print.
There is some regular pla up front for mounting the equipment and holding the spar plus the control horns. The spar is 1x5mm cf on edge.
Aileron linkage is interesting. Pull pull from one servo in the fuse. So the wings are not removable. Centering sucks between linkage and cheap servo. But it will always be turning indoors anyway.
The wing is a jedelsky type airfoil. Front of the wing is lwpla. Back part and aileron is some depron sheet so it's not an all 3dprint model. But that saves a bit on weight.
