  • Sterling Schweizer SGS 1-34

I have this SGS 1-34 in the basement picked up from an estate. Definitely been around a while. Two different kinds of white covering, wings are a different color than fuselage. Probably one was Monokote and the other Solarfilm and they aged differently.

Does anyone thing they are worth attempting to restore to a flyable condition. Both ailerons are off a single servo> Looking at the structure through the covering and in the fuselage, it was just your typical model builder, not someone who was really good.

If you are interested, it is available. I'm in NJ. It was built as a one piece wing. Proceeds go to my local club. Welcome to scalesoaring,

Definitely worth restoring.I have a Sterling 1-34 that I posted a build blog on in RCG Sailplane talk forum. My 1-34 is glassed and finished with urethane, monokote and Callie graphics. It’s heavy at 4.75lbs but flies well on the slope with a 13-15 mph wind. I have spoilers and reflexing ailerons as well. Very enjoyable!
