  • Jetec E-90 in the Baudis 1/3 Antares

The Jetec 90 with 12s motor(1250kv) running on 10s is plenty for takeoffs from asphalt and about three climbs to thermal altitude on 5000mah. I tried 12s but the motor and batteries were seeing their limits in regards to temps so I went back down to 10s. Takeoff roll wasn't much more than 50ft on the hard flat stuff so it should rise off of a grass field as well given a manicured turf and a little more distance.

It's Victor by the way. Edf refers to electric ducted fan, something I was interested in when I picked the screen name a long time ago. I don't have any pics of the final install yet, and don't know how to upload a video here. If you have a Facebook account, I can point you to a low res video of the fan retracting and extending.

I forgot about the snipping tool in Windows. Here's a grab from the grainy video.
