  • LF-109 Pionyr. Might get te motivation to finish and start anew

I have been sitting on a two year old project because of time. I just unfortunately got laid-off of my job of seven years so I may finish my 1/12 model proof of my LF-109 and than continue with the full size of 1/6. I've been sitting on this a while and do have the fuse finished but need to build the wings. Now is the time to complete it I guess. So that is two projects in the works.
If it can't be done right, don't bother doing it at all.

Thanks for posting pictures. The workmanship is very nice!

I am building one also. Fuselage ready for final sanding. Tail feathers ready to sand. Wings on the board about half done.

Are you building from, plans, scratch, or one of the available kits or short kits?

I am building from a full kit out from BLL Models. I made a few mistakes due to lack of documentation but it is coming along ok. The kit is quite complete. 2 meter if I remember right.

I am familiar with the BLL kit. At one time, early on, I also thought about it. I just found it to be much to inaccurate for my taste and the construction to "primitive" It is a bastardized (modernized) adaptation of the old "Modelar" magazine plan. I have that plan and used it for the outline and dimensions. Otherwise I just figured that doing my own design will suite me much better. If it would have been the full 2.25m span of the original "Modelar" plan I would have given it serious consideration.

Not enough skill or time to do my own design. Wish I could. I agree construction is a little old school but it is laser cut and the parts fit well. May get back to it later this week.
