Sailplane tow release

Trying to get ready for the Aerotow in Hammondsport in October. So far I've been all power w/ no gliders. I picked up a Libelle thermal hunter, an older plane non-powered 2-channel built-up wings and glass fuse around 3M. It has a tow hook, do I need a servo release? Not much room in the nose and if I do can you suggest a link to what I should buy?
