  • Joiner Tube Cleaner

When building sailplanes that require sanding, eventually you get junk in the joiner tubes. This can be especially nasty if it is some grit off the sandpaper It's even more important to clean it when the tube material supplied is pretty soft, e.g. aluminum tubing.

You can try stuffing paper towels down there or long q-tips, which are never long enough. I use a bottle brush to get out some of the stuff. The small tubes are usually short enough to clean with some long q-tips. Then when the tube is a decent size, pull out the gun cleaning equipment. I have one for a shotgun and it works great on larger tubes.
I don't have one for a .22 but I guess that would work for smaller tubes.
