I have been building my Bocian and as usual, you can never have too many clamps. I have a bunch of Irwin 4 1/2 inch bar clamps. I was going to pick up a few more but I noticed the Dewalt 4.5 inch clamp on Amazon. The size is similar but they are a bit deeper. The middle of the pad is 20mm from the bar on the Irwin clamp and the Dewalt is 30mm. The Irwin pad is just a flat pad. The Dewalt is a little bigger and has two grooves 90 degrees apart which might help in some situations. I also have some 6 inch irwin clamps, those are 40mm but they are also a bit heavier So it is a nice addition to the collection.
