Amazing job of flying the quad, keeping the camera pointing at the Arcus. Great video. Swiss, how were you able to maintain focus on flying the Arcus with the quad flitting around your airplane? I would have have been really nervous, just saying! 😐

I just flew as normal, a 5" quad at those distances was invisible! Sam and Evan are amazing with these quads, they flew through the woods at speed while we were driving in golf carts and they never touched any tree branches, truly great dexterity!

I think they are the example of what happens when you jump out of a perfectly good airplane and realize you didn’t really want to do that and decide to get back in!!!

P-38 as a glider, too? A P-38 pegged its VSI with engines off during some Sierra Wave research back in the day! I think the pilot had a gain of over 10 thousand feet altitude. His engines were off to conserve fuel and to keep the Vne in check and he was continuously (?) diving because of the rapid thermal ascent! Amazing stuff!!!

Just a short video featuring and early Discus scale model. That LB on the tail must mean something.

Unfortunately the model suffered a catastrophic tail failure on one of the landings so it is now back in the shop for more repairs. The material in these oldies was not meant for long life in the sun.

Been there, done that with my Ka8 foamie! 😂 Thanks to Pete G and yourself, 3.5 ounces of lead in the nose corrected the condition. For the life of me, I will never understand why Horizon never published a correction to the cg location in the manual. The video proves I wasn’t the only one who experienced the upper case U wing syndrome.
