  • Aerotowing in New Mexico

We had our second aerotowing session of 2015 at the Gardner Turf Farms sodfarm, in McIntosh, New Mexico today, and had a great time. The rains subsided, the wind was easily manageable, and at times the lift was outstanding. Bill McLean flew his H Models ASH-31 for the first time in New Mexico. (He's flown it at Visalia, and in Florida... but never in his home state). Since I was flying the tow plane, my photography time was limited, but I did manage to get the three shots that are attached.... Buzz Averill flew his old stand-by Grob 103, noobie aerotow pilot Ed Dresner flew his ASW-22 (for a first time solo), Matt Aurand flew his Multiplex ASH-26, and I put another half gallon of 91 octane through my trusty Hangar 9 / DA 120. If you are ever in the Albuquerque area, be sure to look us up. We'd love to have some company at our 6200' ASL field.

Those are some nice wide open spaces! Thanks for sharing.
Team PowerBox Systems Americas... If flying were the language of men, soaring would be its poetry.
