  • Tomahawk Wilga 1/3 Scale

Here is my new Tomahawk Designs PZL-104 Wilga 35 (built as a scale Wilga 80 US version)
    147" wingspan
Moki 250 with flyable scale prop

I added many custom scale features and Mods

    Weighs 65 lbs wet

    Flies amazing!

Recently towed many awesome scale gliders during the NW Aerowtow Agassiz BC meet - went very well!

Super STOL capabilities - really can slow to a crawl - land and takeoff short - floats amazingly slow - Stall is just a straight ahead soft nose droop.
Can perform rolls, loops, inverted etc - really cool tail slides!

    Great Kit from Tomahawk!

I'll post video if I can get some taken -

I've been towed by this baby and believe me, it is a Scale Masters plane doing tug duty!

            Thanks. Joe!

I’ve been resisting this model for a long time. I think I’m running out of steam.....

With Dave a several others, I was at the first outing of this wonderful model as well. It is the most beautiful tug (or any other type of powered airplane for that matter) I've ever watched in operation. Wish I had one too, but mine would not turn out as nice as this one--I just don't have the skills.

Thank you Larry! - it was really fun to tow all of your awesome Gliders at the Agassiz Aerotow and I look forward to the next meet that I will be at in Kamloops in September!

Joe.....would it be possible to get the name and number off of the gas strut that’s used on your landing gear? We are building 40% version and need a starting point to size and sorce the struts for the gear.....thanks!

A 40% Wilga - how cool that will be!

Hope you have a build thread somewhere - please let us know?

The air/oil shocks I use were designed by a modeler in Germany and his web link to the shocks for the 1/3 Tomahawk Wilga is below:

                          https://www.wemo-ezfw.de/produkt/fed...-massstab-130/

They are really good quality! - and adjustable

Thanks! I’ll contact him.......as far as build thread goes.......I gave up on those a while ago......more hassle then they are worth. Once done I might do a “documentation” thread with all the pictures I’ve been taking...

I’ll do a documentation thread about it.......build threads are just to much time that could be put into actually building the model in question!

I just about have the Wilga ready for the new Aerotow season!

Will have it at many events here in PacNW.

Hope to see you all this summer!
