  • Remove Monokote

I remove the old MonoKote a former K-6. The wing is foam lined Samba so I can not apply too much heat to remove the plastic. Upon removal it remains adhered to the wood white pigment and do not know how to remove it.
Do any of you know how I can remove it without exposing the foam to irreparable damage?
Thank you very much for your advice.

    Manolo,

the best way I found was to use a scalpel blade and scrape the surface, with a fast back and force movement like if the blade was flying on the surface.

After a more local can be the use of an eraser

And finally, sandpaper if there is nothing that remove the plastic that stick to the wood

      I use book laminating film.

Just iron the film over the left behind pigment and then after is has cooled a little just peel it off and it drags most of the old stuff with it.

You will still have some residue left but most comes off.
