I am about to build the horizon asw 20 and am wondering if I should use 20 gauge servo extensions or is the 22 gauge extensions usable for the ailerons and, flaps I am using braided type, digital servos.

We built ours using the Spektrum servos, E-flite electric spoilers, and electric retract specified by Horizon Hobby, along with the Spektrum DX-18 transmitter and 12-channel AR-12020 power-safe receiver, but we made our own extensions using Hansen Hobby connectors and 22 gauge twisted wire. Everything worked perfectly, no issues at all.

Congrats on getting the ASW-20, you'll love the plane.
As Jim said, 22 gauge wire is fine, the servo's are not drawing huge amounts of power. Good luck with the build and be sure to post pictures of your progress.
