  • Western USA 2018 Aerotow Events and Slope Scale Soaring list

Calling clubs west of the Mississippi! We started this thread in the hope that our members in the Western U.S. will start to list their events on the site. We push this information across the net, create event listings in Facebook, etc. whatever we can do to help you build attendance.

AND, ScaleSoaring.com offers an online registration service via our website that is ideal to help you gather all the names, contact data, AMA numbers, etc. in advance of your event. Make's the event director's job much easier. You get an email with all the necessary information for each registrant... https://www.scalesoaring.com/host-registration

To get started, this example below is the sort of basic information I need here on the forum...

    Frankenmuth Aerotow Festival

    Club Site: https://www.flyfrankenmuth.com/

The 25th Annual Los Banos Scale Aerotow and Slope Event is coming April 20~22, 2018. This is one of the oldest continuous Scale Aerotow events in the USA. I am proud to say I have been at every one of them, and have been organizing it for over 20 years with Brian Chan, Lynsel Miller, and our club, the South Bay Soaring Society. SBSS is primarily a Competition TD group, and originated the LSF. We usually have a decent turnout, with some of the dedicated slope heads arriving from Wednesday on. It is a unique site offering excellent scale slope conditions for even 1:2 scale ships, with 2 large landing areas, and aero towing too. We are able to do both concurrently with the T-oriented runways. If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area, or traveling this way, please come out and join us. Saturday is the big day, and we have tasty food available, including the famous Baked Beans. We are scheduled to have at least 3 tow planes including the monster Bidule 170.
