If I may add, the CamAm aerotow is packed right the weekend before the 3-day Lacolle International Championship competition that starts the next Friday, that is August 25-27 2017. Both sites are 45 minutes apart, both on beautiful sod farms.

The Championship program showcases two ALES competitions, and one F5J competition. The ALES competitions are on the canadian and ESL schedules, so points count towards ESL standings.

The F5J competition will be part of the world F5J Intertour. We will have loaners F5J electronic devices for those who want to try for the first time.

        More info to come.

Thanks, Aurele. I updated post #1.

Any other news from anyone? I pinged Charlie at SKSS to see if they've given any additional thought to shifting into September.

Thanks everyone. Let's keep our great hobby growing.

Hello all! Merry Christmas! Here is current recon on a couple `17 events:

                - VERMONT: Sad news. With the loss of their flying site due to crop rotation (likely for 3 years) VT is not currently planning on hosting an event this year. GMTC's new field is sufficient for club flying, but cannot accommodate a large event.

                - PENNSYLVANIA: Great news! Sky High Aerotow will return to Muncy, PA. Mark (field owner), Len and I will be hosting through ScaleSoaring.com. This is no longer a club field, rather a private site. Expect the same spectacular scenery and flying conditions. Simple lunch available each day, no big dinner fest. Camping on site available as always. We are going to hold off on selecting a date until Delaware, Black Dirt and others settle their dates. We will fill a gap in order to best accommodate everyone. Stay tuned.

SEE POST #1 OF THIS THREAD FOR CURRENT LIST

Please post any thoughts, new Eastern events, dates, etc. It may be building season, but very soon we fly!

It is with great sadness that the Spring SKSS event just may not happen. The state has decided to "Improve" the trails and roads in the general area of our field and we will be closed for approximately five months. Now we were told this was supposed to start in November but is not expected to start until after the new year. They way its looking right now the April Spring aerotow will not happen unless the work is completed sooner. As soon as we know for sure I'll update here again.

                          Two words... Black Dirt.

Steve Richman confirms the Black Dirt Aerotow has been set for October 6-7-8, 2017. The field is located off Indiana Road in Goshen, NY. Here's a link to the host club: http://www.blackdirtsquadron.org/.

Once SKSS makes a,decision and picks a date in either August or September, the Sky High Aerotow -- currently looking at September 15-17 -- will fill the open month SKSS doesn't want.
