  • Slider override F-Mode

    DX18G2/AR12310T

During HH Aerotow Len setup a model program for my ASW20 that had the slider (flaps) so it would override flap settings regardless of F-Mode. That model got corrupted ( no save) and was unusable so I'm trying to re-create it and not having any luck with the slider override.

    Can anyone enlighten me?

    Thanks,
    Bryan

Think I got it. In Camber just adjusted flaps with slider in each F-mode?

yes you must set each flight mode to have the slider option available.

Also, be sure the maximum travel of both a preset flap ( camber mode ) plus the addition of the full slider position does not over travel the control surface.

There is a setting called ABS ( absolute travel) which allows you to set the maximum point the surface will ever travel regardless what you do. I doubt its an issue with the ASW 20 inputs, but on plans where we mix flea with spoiler and then add flap at the last moment it can be an issue.

Thanks again Len! I think I'm finally grasping some of the finer points of "glider" programming.
