FOR SALE: One big, beautiful, bodacious gull-wing PWS-101 sailplane.
This is a 1:3 scale model spanning 6.3 meters and with some impressive chord. HQ airfoil sections. It is simply a majestic sailplane in flight. With all of that wing area, getting the most of thermals is no question.
Wings are four piece so transportation is not an issue. Wing sections have recessed bolts in the bottom surface so the halves do not need to have ugly joiner tape showing (see photo below). Double carbon main wing joiner. Horizontal stab is one piece and unbolts.
Construction is all wood and carbon. Wings are covered in fabric, sealed with multiple light coats of UV-resistant satin for a scale finish. Fuselage is wood paneled with a lacquer paint finish. Razor fine cracks in the paint at some of the panel joints formed from the fuselage expanding and contracting which makes it look even more scale. One small repaired fabric tear in the TE of one wing and similar on the horizontal stab.
Heavily padded, Velcro closure bags for wings, stab and tail transportation are included. Servos are JR digitals with dual JR DS 8411 servos on the elevators for serious torque overkill. Two 5000 mAh 5-cell NiMh flight packs included. Powersafe receiver installed can be included for a modest addition -- makes it bind and fly. Cockpit interior and dash are fully detailed. No pilot figure included.
$3450 as described above. I do have a large wooden crate to ship, will require freight service and insurance. Delivery a far better option at one of the 2016 east coast aerotow events.
