  • FOR SALE: Pilatus Porter Tow Plane -- Receiver Ready "Super Scale" Version

FOR SALE: Top Model Pilatus Porter Tow Plane. $1800 complete and ready for your receiver.

The renowned "Porter #2" expertly built by Jim Dolly with great care and attention to detail while also being treated like a pristine hangar queen over its life. A number of refinements and structural additions were thoughtfully added by Jim through his extensive experience towing sailplanes. Delivery available at Black Dirt Aero Tow in October or at Cumberland Soar For Fun in November. Plane is located in Norwalk, CT for immediate pick-up.

3.37 meter span, the "super scale" version of the kit that has corrugated flaps, ailerons, rudder and more airframe detail throughout. All Hitec high torque digital servos, quality NoBS battery packs -- dual 5-cell packs on control surfaces + ignition battery. Wings are single connector plug and play. Extremely low hours on the airframe and DA85 motor. K&S cannister with comfort mounts. A powerful and quiet tug. Upgraded heavy duty landing gear springs. Spare brand new windshield. Transport box for wings, padded bag for horizontal stabilizer. The main wing joiner has been customized with two steel quick release pins so the annoying and arduous job of installing and uninstalling the two spar bolts at the flying field now takes only about 10 seconds.

Plane is complete, no issues and ready for your receiver. DMS2 rx with all remote receivers installed is available for an extra $75.

It pains me to sell this, but I have a new Pawnee and Bidule coming online and my trusty AMR 50 is ready to take back the skies. One has to go and this is the best possible option for a local club or someone looking to add a low hassle, high reward tow plane to their fleet.

Happy to answer any questions. Here's a picture of the plane with Jim at Highpoint...
