    Looking at the photo, I think my 40% DG1000 Stab is bigger than that one.

      Probably, because the picture looks like a rendering... There is no elevator or ailerons shown on it.

        Ha! True that!

        The trend in competition sailplanes is for less wing area/higher wing loading, longer fuselages and therefore less horizontal tail area. The new 33 demonstrates all three.

        It's all about high speed. Something I know has no appeal to you.

          Full span flaperons, they must have figured that it wasn't worth it doing a new fuse. I like the Axel pilot...

            Steve (and Gunny)- maybe the wing and tail doesn't show control surface gaps because they are going back to the old tried and true wing warping and tail feathers warping methods of control! A Caudron was the first aircraft to have ALL of this and not just in the wings like the Wright Bros. aircraft.
